Compiling ‘For Construction’ drawings and documentation can be a complex exercise and cannot be considered to be a purely mechanical procedure.   If only it was that easy!  The regimes established by Veretec ensure that the development of construction detail design information also encompasses ongoing review and value management, using the efficiency and benefits of the Design & Build procurement chains and early access to specialist sub-contractors. 

All projects have their unique Opportunities, Risks and Constraints which have to be managed.  Part of the Veretec ethos is to clearly establish and agree with all parties the project specific Opportunities, Risks and Constraints, and ensure that they are tracked and managed throughout the project duration.

We believe value management is an ongoing process throughout the project and not just for milestone value engineering workshops.  The successful delivery of a project through the Design & Build route also requires an awareness of the design concept sensibilities, clear understanding of the Employers Requirements and Contractors Proposals together with very clear open communications.  It is essential to avoid unexpected decision deadlines being forced on the employer that can lead to conflict.
