AUDITS

Veretec undertakes a range of audit services including, tender review audits, design audits and due diligence audit reports. Veretec’s audits provide an unbiased, independent overview of how a project is progressing and identifying where potential bottlenecks or future problems may lie.  These also support our due diligence reports.

We are able to offer tailored options ranging from specific targeted element reviews, desktop studies, preliminary audits, to fully detailed audits to suit the individual project and client requirements.  These range from a limited scope partial element review such as cladding/ external envelope or cores to a full project review. 

Where an audit is required to be cross discipline we are also able to utilize sub-consultants as part of our service to include review of structural and services engineering as well as Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) access design audits.

Tender Audits
Our tender audit reviews are normally undertaken for a Design & Build contractor as part of the tender process, although we are also able to undertake client pre-tender audits.

The Veretec tender audits review level of design coordination, conformance to statutory regulations, fire strategy review, buildibility and construction tolerance practicality of the scheme being tendered.    These also assess RIBA work stage achievement, project risks, opportunities and constraints as part of Value Management options to assist development of Contractors Proposals as part of a tender submission.

We are able to carry out this service for single stage and two stage tender processes as well as negotiated contracts.

Design Audits
The design audits undertaken by Veretec are normally on behalf of an Employer to assess design risk when a project has reached a specific project RIBA workstage, prior to proceeding to tender or selling an asset. 

Veretec can operate as a stand alone remote audit or in conjunction with the project design team to achieve a seamless solution.  We are experienced in working with project design teams to assist resolving project issues and minimising project risk. 

Forensic Architects
As part of our audit service offer we are also able to carry out forensic architects duties investigating projects where problems have occurred, and identifying potential solutions.  This is reinforced by our audit and technical feasibilities expertise.
